42) creare un bordo al testo - create an edge for text

Per creare un bordo esterno o interno ad un testo è possibile: 1) utilizzare la maschera del testo e espanderla o ridurla dei pixel che determinano lo spessore del bordo. 2) utilizzare sulla maschera del testo i filtri massimo e minimo per determinare spessore e intensità del bordo. 3) utilizzare lo strumento 'tratto pennello da maschera', in tal caso la misura del pennino utilizzato determina lo spessore del bordo interno, esterno o al centro della maschera.	To create an outside or inside edge to a text, it is possible: 1) use the text mask and expand or reduce the size of it, in pixels, to define thickness of the edge 2) use on the text mask the maximum and minimum filters to define thickness and transparency of the edge. 3) use 'stroke mask' tool, in that case the nib size defines the thickness of the inside, outside or middle border associated with the mask.

1) dopo aver applicato la maschera al testo, salvarla come canale alpha. - da menu maschera/contorno maschera/espandi, espandere la maschera di alcuni pixel (il numero determina lo spessore del bordo ed è collegato al carattere scelto e alle dimensioni del testo su cui si lavora). - sottrarre alla nuova maschera quella salvata in precedenza - applicare un riempimento alla nuova maschera così ottenuta.	1) create a mask of the text and save it as alpha channel. -from menu mask/mask edge/expand, increase the size of the mask with some pixels (the number defines the thickness of the edge and it depends on font and on size of text). - remove the saved mask from this new mask -apply a fill to the last mask that is obtained.

1bis) applicare la maschera al testo e salvarla come canale alpha. - ridurre la maschera (menu maschera/contono maschera/riduci) di alcuni pixel che derminano lo spessore del bordo. - salvare anche la nuova maschera come canale alpha. ora ci sono due possibilità: - o, disattivare ogni maschera, caricare la prima maschera salvata e sottrarre ad essa la seconda e applicare un riempimento alla nuova maschera ottenuta (solo il bordo). - o utilizzare il colore del testo originale come bordo e applicare un riempimento contrastante alla seconda maschera (nuovo colore del testo).	1bis) apply a mask to text and save it as alpha channel. - reduce the size of the mask (menu mask/mask edge/reduce) with some pixels that define the thickness of the edge. - save the new mask as alpha channel. now we have two choices: - or, cancel every mask, load the first saved mask and remove from it the second one, apply a fill to the new mask (only the edge) - or, use the colour of original text as border and apply a new different fill to the second mask (new colour of the text)

2) I filtri massimo e minimo (menu effetti/disturbo) richiedono per poter essere utilizzati non solo la maschera del testo attiva, ma anche il passaggio al POM mode (modalità dipingi su maschera) (vedi immagine sotto, il bianco rappresenta la maschera attiva e il nero l'area non protetta).	2) The maximum and minimum filters (menu effects/noise) needs to be used not only an active mask on the text, but also selection of the POM mode (paint on mask mode) (see below left image: white is the protected area and black not protected area)

- in modalità POM applicare il filtro massimo per creare un bordo esterno. - il cursore ' raggio' definisce il numero di pixel che determinano lo spessore del bordo, la percentuale la trasparenza o intensità della maschera in quella zona (diversa tonalità di grigio, più chiara più protetta)	- in POM mode, apply the maximum filter to create an outside edge. - The Radius slider defines the number of pixels that determines the thickness of border - the Percentage slider controls the amount of filtering applied to the affected pixels. The greater the value, the darker the affected pixels become.

- disattivare la modalità POM e applicare un riempimento diverso alla nuova maschera (usando un nuovo livello si può porre in primo piano il testo originale per ottenere un bordo contrastante)	- exit from POM mode - apply a different fill to new mask (if you use a new layer, it is possible to place upper the original text to obtain a contrasting edge.)

- applicando il filtro minimo si ottiene, con lo stesso procedimento, un bordo interno e il colore del testo originale costituirà quello del bordo.	- apply the minimum filter to obtain, with the same technique, an inside edge - the colour of the original text will be the colour of the edge.

3) lo strumento 'Tratto pennello su maschera' è accessibile solo se sono attivi contemporaneamente una maschera e uno degli strumenti pennello. - creare un testo e la sua maschera, salvare la maschera come canale alpha. - selezionare lo strumento pennello, selezionare un tipo di pennello e regolarne le dimensioni. - nel menu maschera/crea selezionare 'tratto pennello su maschera' e nella finestra che si apre scegliere a) nel mezzo della maschera se si vuole che la pennellata risulti a cavallo del bordo della maschera b) interno alla maschera se si vuole la pennellata all'interno c) esterno alla maschera se si vuole la pennellata all'esterno.	3) It is possible to use the Stroke mask only if a mask and the brush cathegory tool are active simultaneously. - create a text and its mask, save the mask as alpha channel. - select the brush tool, select a brush nib and determine its size - in menu mask/create select the 'stroke mask' and, in the dialog window that opens, select a) in the middle of the mask, if you want the dab on the mask border b) inside, if you want the dab inside of the mask border c) outeside, if you want the dab outside of the mask border

-questo strumento si può usare con ogni tipo di pennello per cui si possono creare effetti gradevoli con le varie punte disponibili	- this tool works with all brushes, so it is possible to create nice effects with different nibs

e può anche essere utilizzato con lo strumento distributore di immagini per effetti particolari.	and it works also with the Spray tool to create fancy effects.
